Why are you running for city council? *
I am running for city council because I believe I can bring the necessary recourses to improve the needs of my district.
Each council district is comprised of thousands of people who live and work in Pasadena. What qualifications, job training and/or volunteer experiences prepare you to serve as the representative of your district?
I am a tactical, award-winning executive with nearly 17 years of experience in a highly competitive Multifamily industry. I have proven my ability to exceed goals and increased revenue with thoughtful analysis, outstanding leadership, and high-level customer service. I provide leadership to employees and implement policies and procedures that ensure properties are suitably maintained on a daily basis. As a collaborative communicator, I am focused on building relationships and foresting synergy to drive constructive change, obtain and retain tenants, and enhance profitability.
What are your top three priorities in serving the city of Pasadena and one thing you want to advocate for specifically on behalf of your district?
Community Awareness
Safer Communities
Economic development
The one thing I want to advocate is community awareness.
What needs to be done to support and grow existing businesses and to attract new businesses to our city?
I believe what is needed to grow existing businesses is to show them how to market correctly for the target audience.
To bring new business to our city we have to compare our tax breaks to new businesses to our surrounding cities. To be more attractive to new developers.
Our city is mostly developed, and in order to grow, will have to begin to redevelop. How would you facilitate redevelopment? What tools (TIRZ, chapter 380 agreements, municipal bonds, livable community funding, management districts, grants) would you support to assist with redevelopment?
I believe to facilitate redevelopment TIRZ, Chapter 380 Agreements, and Grants are crucial to help assist with redevelopment.
“Pasadena Loves Local” is an initiative focused on supporting local business and encouraging all citizens to choose local to benefit our community. In your opinion, what can be done to improve the quality of life in Pasadena so that it is a great place for people to choose Pasadena to live, work, play and shop?
More community functions to bring neighbors together. Like a Farmers market or Pop up shop where if you worked a garden you could sell some goods, if you’re crafty you can sell your art, and you can shop from all the local talent. Also, open community centers and promote overall social media platforms to bring community awareness. -
