Pasadena Out of The Darkness Walk-Sponsors Needed

NEED SPONSORS TO CONTINUE OUR WORK IN THE COMMUNITY.
We are an organization that works towards suicide prevention and have been in the industry since 1987.  I am with the Southeast TX Chapter which includes 33 counties in our area. This year is our 4^th year hosting the walk and will be held on September 21, 2024, at Burke Crenshaw Park in Pasadena, TX.
What do we do? Funds raised from events like the Pasadena Walk go towards these 4 categories.
1: Research – We are the largest private funder of suicide prevention research. Much of what is known about suicide and how it can be prevented comes from studies we’ve funded.
2: Education- We create a culture that is smart about mental health by providing evidence-based programs to colleges, schools, hospitals, and within organizations.  We are out in the community because everyone can play a role in preventing suicide.
3: Advocacy- We rally our volunteers at the state and federal level to advocate for policies that will reduce suicide and improve mental health services.  Our state victories include mandatory suicide prevention training for educators. Passing the new 988 Suicide Prevention Line, key federal legislation like the Excellence in Mental Health Act which secured $900 Million for community-based mental health and substance use disorder treatment – the largest federal investment in generations.
4: Support- We provide support for those who struggle with thoughts of suicide or who have survived a suicide attempt. We also help loss survivors heal after the death of a loved one through outreach and support programs.
