League City, TX- Anchor Point’s Celebrating Hope - 10 year Anniversary Gala Announces Co-Chairs: Texas State Representative Dr. Greg Bonnen & Mrs. Kimberly Bonnen and Trevor & Christina Shakiba of Shakiba Capital. The Anchor Point Family Network will host their annual Celebrating Hope Gala on Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 at the elegant South Shore Harbour Resort, in League City, Texas. This is the seventh year of this annual that has sold out year after year; the 2021 Gala is super special as we are celebrating Anchor Point's beginning 10 years ago this year. Celebrating Hope's presenting sponsor is Shakiba Capital (SC), SC founders are also the 10th anniversary gala co-chairs Mr. & Mrs. Trevor Shakiba alongside its founding Event Chairs, Texas State Representative Dr. & Mrs. Greg Bonnen. with these two powerhouse couples this will prove to be another sold-out, relaxing and elegant event to host a 'who’s-who' of the Bay Area. Anchor Point’s founding CEO, Debbie Simmons stated, “We are thrilled beyond measure to celebrate Anchor Point's been championing children and giving families hope for ten years!" The evening’s festivities include keynote speaker, author and humorist, Mike Williams. Mike is the youngest born of five to an inner-city family. His oldest brother was killed at seventeen on the streets of Chicago and another brother was killed at seventeen in prison. His two sisters turned to alcohol and drugs, a turn for which they have never fully recovered. At the age of twenty-seven, he met his father for the first and last time. Mike's mother chose to place him in a new family with hopes that at least one of her children could have a chance at a future. Mike was adopted by a Christian couple (YFC volunteers) who had been praying for a child for over twelve years... and the fun was just about to begin. Gala guests enjoy an elegant waterfront dining experience, musical entertainment, light-hearted games with jewelry and electronic prizes, and live and silent auctions to benefit the children and families of Anchor Point.
