These roles are essential to ensuring a smooth and secure voting process across Harris County. Workers assist with setting up polling locations, helping voters, handling voting equipment, and supporting election operations.
Positions offer $17/hour with paid training and provide a meaningful opportunity to serve your community and support the democratic process.
General Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting voters at polling locations
- Setting up and managing voting equipment
- Supporting election night operations
- Transporting or handling election materials (varies by role)
Basic Requirements (vary slightly by role):
- U.S. citizen
- Harris County registered voter (for most roles)
- At least 18 years old (16+ for Student Runners)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift 30–40 lbs of equipment
- Basic technology skills
- Completion of paid training
High School Student Runners must be enrolled in school and have parental/guardian consent.
