Christmas Tree Circle Awards Ceremony
Name: Christmas Tree Circle Awards CeremonyDate: December 1, 2015Time: 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM CSTEvent Description:The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce Cultural Arts Committee invites you to participate in the 25th Annual Christmas Tree Circle. This year’s exhibit will be on display at the Pasadena City Hall from November 10, 2015 through December 31, 2015. Awards will be presented December 1, 2015 at 4:30 pm.
Entries fall into 2 categories:
1. Local civic, non-profit, and volunteer organizations on a space available basis as approved by the Cultural Arts
Committee. All trees must be no shorter than 6’ and no higher than 8’.
2. Table Top entries will be accepted from
local churches only. Only one entry per church. All trees must be no
higher than 3’ tall and fit within an 18” circumference.
Awards will be presented at City Hall on December 1
st at the Holiday Mixer from 4:30 – 6 pm. A representative from
your organization should be present. All decisions of the committee are final.
1. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards (6’ – 8’ trees) will be presented for Most Beautiful, Most Creative, Best
Organizational Theme, and Best Holiday Theme. All themes must be approved by the Cultural Arts Committee
and may not violate any state, local or federal laws, or the by-laws of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.
2. 1st and 2nd place awards will be presented for Best Table Top Tree.
3. People’s Choice as voted (Nov. 10th – Nov. 20th) by visitors to the Tree Circle.
4. Children’s Choice as voted (Nov. 30th) by a first grade class from one of the PISD elementary schools.
5. Facebook Favorite as voted (Nov. 16th – Nov. 20th) online.
Rules: Trees must be erected and decorated on Monday, November 9, 2015 between 9 am and 5 pm and removed on
Monday, January 4, 2016 between 9 am and 5 pm. No trees are to be removed prior to this date. Neither the Pasadena
Chamber of Commerce, City of Pasadena, nor the Cultural Arts Committee will be responsible nor liable for lost or
damaged trees or ornaments.
• All trees must be artificial.
• All trees must be treated with, or constructed of, flame retardant material.
• Trees may be lighted with “on tree” lights only (no spot lights or exterior lighting).
• Strands of lights must comply with fire code limits listed on box purchased in.
• No noise generating ornaments, sound systems or loud speakers allowed.
• All local, county, state and national fire codes must be obeyed. It is your responsibility to determine if your tree
is in violation.
• You must provide your own tree stand, skirting, and extension cord.
• The committee will furnish a sign for each organization. No other fliers or signage is permitted.
