BakerRipley has 12 Neighborhood Tax Centers in convenient Houston area locations providing free tax preparation for individuals and families earning up to $58,000. All tax preparation services are offered at no charge, including electronic filing (e-filing) and direct deposit. For low and moderate-income families their tax refunds can be anywhere from 10 -40% of their annual income. This is a meaningful boost that can help set families on the path to financial stability. Neighborhood Tax Centers is a program under United Way THRIVE which focuses on helping families establish a path to financial stability. More than 67,000 families last year achieved financial success through United Way THRIVE, with over 36,500 tax returns completed and more than $49 million in net refunds returned.
