On November 5, 1993 the Pasadena Police Department lost a beloved friend and co-worker. SWAT Officer Leslie Ian Early was killed in the line of duty while serving a narcotic warrant in the City of Houston. Les was an eight year veteran that was respected by all and he served his entire career with distinction. He was a loving husband and father and an individual who valued life. In 2001 the elected leaders of Pasadena approved naming the police department’s firearms range as the Les Early Firearms Training Center. In an effort to pay tribute to Les and his family the Pasadena Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce joined forces to erect a sign at the center. This sign is 6 feet tall by 12 feet wide with flag poles installed at either end. Due to budget constraints the Pasadena Police Department, Pasadena Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce are joining forces to solicit contributions to fund this project. To help make this project possible, we would like to invite you to join us for dinner on August 26, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Silver Sycamore Tea Room and Reception Hall located on 5111 Pine St., Pasadena, TX. Cost of tables and individual tickets are listed below. During this dinner, there will be information on this project, on what is needed from our community, and how you can contribute. Proceeds from this dinner will go directly to the Les Early Firearms Training Center Sign. Individual Tickets - $50.00 Tables for Ten*- $500.00 Major Sponsor Tables* - $1000.00
