Pasadena is alive with The Sound of Music! Family friendly and world famous, Stage Door Inc. is proud to present this classic, opening Friday, June 1st and running weekends through June 24th.
This Rodgers and Hammerstein classic marks the last collaboration between the two celebrated artists. Set in Salzburg, Austria just before World War II, the show tells the story of Maria, a free spirited girl, who works as a governess for Captain Von Trapp and his seven children. With well known numbers such as “Do-Re-Mi” and “Edelweiss” this musical is a family friendly show for all ages.
The Sound of Music opens Friday, June 1st and runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sunday matinees at 3:00pm weekends through June 24th. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors or students with ID. Group rates are available for all performances.

SPECIAL EVENTS
Stage Door Inc. is a GLBT friendly theatre. Saturday, June 9th will be Stage Door’s OUT@SDI night. Starting at 7:00pm before the 8:00pm show there will be complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic drinks in the lobby for GLBT audience members, their friends and family.
There will be a special “Pay What You Can” Performance on Thursday, June 14th at 8:00pm; donations of at least $5 are suggested.
Stage Door Inc. is a local, community theatre located inside the Pasadena Town Square Mall. Voted Best Family Entertainment Venue in Pasadena for the last two years in a row by the Pasadena Citizen readers, Stage Door is a true “community” theater. They partner with the Pasadena Strawberry Festival and are proud members of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.
The remainder of the 2012 season includes: The Red Velvet Cake War; Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein: The Musical; The Laramie Project; and Dashing Through The Snow. There’s sure to be something everyone will enjoy.
