Quality Control Inspector

The Pasadena team of Meador Staffing has partnered with a local Manufacturing company to add a Night Shift QC Inspector to join their team!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Check and validate all dimensions on finished and in-process work orders
Maintain list of all in stock inventory with accompanying MTRs and batch details
Ensure Heat Numbers are visible on all pieces before shipment as well as stored electronically to each specific work order
Oversee the consumption of materials, closing of work orders, and inventory transfers, and creation of work orders as needed while utilizing software such as NetSuite
Manage the Global MTR folder – ensuring quick and easy access to MTRs received at all manufacturing locations
Report to Quality Manager on any quality non-conformances and for implementing continuous improvement initiatives
Assist in getting jobs ready for shipment to ensure all components and correct bolting is with job
Receive materials physically/digitally and check for quality conformances and record material data such as Heat Numbers and non-conformances
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on errors stemming from fabrication utilizing techniques such as 5 Whys
Calibration of measurement equipment

REQUIREMENTS:

Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent
Knowledge of how to use measuring tools, i.e. calipers, tape measure, etc.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little to no errors
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Ability to manage multiple projects within a day and flexibility to adjust priority of each
Ability to lift 50lbs
Ability to use software tools such as NetSuite or other ERP tools is a plus
Prior forklift experience is a plus
Knowledge of On-Line leak repair manufacturing is a plus
Schedule:

M-Th 6pm-6am (The first 1-2 months will be M-Th 6am-6pm for training)

Pay:

$22/base + $3 night shift incentive
